Your deck. The file you upload, and the text we read out of it. A pitch deck usually contains personal data — founder names, roles, sometimes e-mail addresses. We process it to produce your investor matches. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a service you requested.

The startup profile we derive. Company, sector, location, funding stage, round size, traction figures, founder names where the deck states them, together with the matching results and any criteria you correct by hand. Same purpose and legal basis.

Your feedback on matches. Yes / no / not sure, the optional reason, and whether you already know an investor. We use it to improve the ranking. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a service that gets better with use.

The handover to Prospector. If you click "Contact investors", we create a record holding your company, your round, the investors you selected and your feedback, and pass a reference to Prospector. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Only an unguessable identifier travels in the link; the data itself is retrieved server to server.

Usage statistics. We count steps of the funnel — page opened, deck uploaded, matches shown, investor selected. These events carry no identifier for you: no cookie, no session id, no IP address, no device fingerprint. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical access data, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We set no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner. Two technical exceptions exist:

Your light/dark preference is stored in your browser (local storage) when you choose one. It never leaves your device. — A session cookie is set only when an operator signs in to the internal deck archive; it is not set for visitors.

Uploaded decks are held in private object storage. There is no public link to them, no page of this website serves them, and the storage key is unguessable. They are accessible only to Redtower Ventures.

Decks are not made public, not searchable by other users and not used to train machine-learning models.

Vercel Inc. (San Francisco, USA) hosts this website and stores the data described above. Servers are currently located in the United States. The transfer is based on a data processing agreement including the EU standard contractual clauses.

Prospector (prospector.cindr.la) receives the data you hand over when you click "Contact investors", and only then. Prospector has its own privacy notice.

Deck analysis currently runs on our own infrastructure; the content of your deck is not sent to an external AI provider. Should we enable an external model provider to improve extraction quality, we will update this notice before doing so.

We do not sell data, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Twelve months after upload, an automated job deletes your deck together with everything derived from it: the analysis, the startup profile, the matches and your feedback. What remains is the anonymous funnel count, which cannot be traced back to you or your company.

A handover record for Prospector expires after 72 hours and can be used once. If you want your deck deleted sooner, write to us and we will remove it.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). One e-mail to office@redtowerventures.com is enough — please tell us roughly when you uploaded and the company name, so we can find the right deck.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.

Please upload only decks you are entitled to share. If a deck names third parties — co-founders, employees, customers — you are responsible for having a basis to pass that information on. If someone uploaded your deck without authorisation, tell us and we will delete it.

The ranking is calculated automatically from the criteria shown above your results, all of which you can correct. It produces a suggestion, not a decision with legal effect, and no human is prevented from disagreeing with it. Investor records may be incomplete or out of date; check them before you act on them.

We update this notice when the processing changes. The date at the top of this page tells you which version you are reading.
